David is a Director in the UK institutional team, responsible for establishing and building relationships with UK DC pension schemes, DC investment consultants and DC investment platforms. Mr. Whitehair joined Franklin Templeton in July 2017 having spent more than 10 years at Fidelity International, where he was a Senior Business Development Manager. Mr. Whitehair joined Fidelity’s institutional sales & marketing graduate programme in 2006 before joining the DC sales team in 2009. In his role, he was responsible for business development for Fidelity’s DC Investment Only platform business. Mr. Whitehair holds a B.A. degree in Geography from University College London, United Kingdom.
Steven Gardner is a Director in the UK institutional client team, responsible to establishing and building new relationships with institutional investors in the UK and Ireland. He also manages relationships with existing UK institutional clients. Mr. Gardner started his career on the investment side, having spent his early years in finance as an investment analyst at SL Capital Partners (the private equity investment division of Standard Life Investments) working out of Edinburgh and Boston. He has extensive experience in institutional client service, having been part of Baillie Gifford’s overseas institutional client team prior to taking up a senior role in the UK institutional client service team at Baring Asset Management. He joined Franklin Templeton in October 2014 having spent a year in industry, playing a central role in the successful launch of a private equity-focused technology company. Mr. Gardner holds a first class honours degree in economics from the University of Strathclyde (Business School), Glasgow.
